When is the test? And who takes it?
The PSAT 8/9 will be given on October 19th and will be given to all 9th grade students.

What do I need to bring on test day?
Be sure to bring at least 2 sharpened #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils!) and a calculator. The approved calculator list on the Riverview High School website. You might want to bring a snack to eat during the scheduled breaks.

How long is the PSAT 8/9?
The test is about 3 hours long. Lunches will be provided after testing is over.

How is the PSAT 8/9 scored?

When and how will my student get their score?
Test scores can take up to 6 weeks to be released. Your student may access their score through their College Board account 4-6 weeks after the test. Check the Riverview High School website for updates.
How do I make a College Board Account?
Go to https://www.collegeboard.org/ and click “sign-up”. If you think you already have a College Board account, follow the steps to reset your username or password. If you are having trouble or find you have multiple accounts, call 866-433-7728 to reach customer service.

Is there a way for my student to study for the PSAT 8/9?
Yes, your student can link their College Board and Khan Academy accounts. Follow the link for information: https://www.khanacademy.org/sat 

My student receives testing accommodations, will they have accommodations for the PSAT 8/9?
Yes, if your students regularly receives accommodations then they will be given extra time to complete the PSAT 8/9.
